Her ears twitched at the sound of an oldies rock ballad that she just happened to know. Not only was it not that old[considering who you were] but it was so perfectly uplifting that even though her orbs were matched to his, she was singing along in her head. Only a random thought drifted inwonders if he evens listens to music and then there it went out when the chorus of 'Poision' sung by the very hot and big haired Alice Cooper.
Fu was sure he did seemed a bit more Regular Joe then Donald Trump since they'd switched names on napkins and then spoke first words. only not as stumbled as a babe's new speech. She was sure of it completely as the whisps of death breathed from his parted lips and floated to join the rest. After all bars always had that layer of smoke and stale preztles mixed in. Her nose crinkled a bit as she could just now hint vomit. Someone had to be throwing up in the bathrooms.
It didn't last long though, thoughts and attention sorely on him with his surprise of compliment.Fu was taken a bit but just grabbed another juicy fruit and shoved the heavy crystal cup away from her. "You didn't seem the type to go and bask in the sun on a beach with your trophy wife and three kids." She smirked slightly with a soft shrug of her shoulders. Fu though at least expected some escort service or something to draw attention to his brain and brawn.
Oh well.
But her images were crashed as she heard that formidable word boyfriend. Not to mention beating him. "Does sound like me doesn't?" She could help but toss in through a few laughs. But with her back straighting up, she shook her head with her elbows supporting her frame. "No...men are after all the same. Someone cheap or blond with watermelons and doesn't ask a bunch of questions..." She fessed up, adding an after tidbit just because. "The men in my family are enough hassle as it is or just right for me."

The song in the background of the bar surprised him as well - he counted oldies rock as some of his favorite music. Recognition sparked in his cobalt eyes, but other than that he didn't tap his fingers or bob his head or anything of the sort. He was rather self-concious of the image he projected around others, and even if he was in a relaxed setting he couldn't imagine being so.. silly, especially around Fu Sohma. She had expectations of him, and he had to upkeep them. Maybe she was starting to think he wasn't half-bad, but that wouldn't be good for his reputation as a cold bastard. It was infuriating, the way Seto Kaiba worked. He had a magnetic personality, but his cruelty drove peopel away from him and oftentimes they couldn't decide if they should keep trying or just leave him to himself.
Well, he was pleased that Fu had thick enough skin to stick around. The night would have been rather boring if he didn't have someone to exchange witty coments with. He watched with satisfaction as she reacted to his partial compliment - he loved throwing people off guard like that. Kaiba was so well composed that it was hard to surprise him with something, and he knew it. He watched her as she took another cherry into her mouth, raising a brow at the sensual way that she was eating it. Was she trying to tease him? If that was her intent, Kaiba could fully match her. Their little game was quite amusing, he'd give it that much.
Another rare gesture appeared on his handsome face. When she evoked the stereotype image of the trophy wife and kids, he grinned - a real, crooked, heart-melting sort of a grin. "How astute," he nodded, giving her props. Kaiba was avoiding that kind of a future, with everything in his being. As far as he was concerned, he'd end up alone, and he was already resigned to that fact. Why fight the inevitable, right? "I don't see that in my lifetime." The way the sentence was spoke revealed all the scorn he had for the people who did happen to live that way. Kaiba had met his share of men who had their perfect little wives and lovely children, and to be honest it made him gag a little.
The ever-observant young man did not miss the way her eyes tightened when he said the word 'boyfriend'. Obviously he was hitting some sort of a sore spot for her, but he didn't really care. He wasn't malicious on purpose all of the time, but when he did offend someone he hardly took it back. "All men are the same, hm?" he asked, raising a brow skeptically. Did she really think him to be one that enjoyed the company of dumb blondes? "You're quite mistaken." She didn't know the half of it, at least in his case. For him, the most important thing was a girl with brains that could at least keep up with him. Kaiba hadn't dated in a while, but his standards certainly had not been lowered or changed in any way.
He leaned forward even more, so his head was next to hers. He shifted so that his lips were at his ear, his breath hot on her skin. "Maybe you should expect the unexpected," he whispered, his voice quite husky. Kaiba then pulled away slowly, his eyes glittering hard blue. Oh, he could be quite the tease when he felt like it. Besides, it wasn't like it was painful.. it was just a side of him that many didn't see. Fu was quite gorgeous, so it was rather enjoyable to get under her skin. [/size]

All this time she thought this night would have been wasted on drunk assholes and losers looking for another bottle to crawl into. Every bar in America had at least three and then some unless it was unhappy hour. Fu never would have thought that following her seating on the dark rosy vinyl seating, she would be endorsed in a conversation with some high roller. Her thoughts purely of anger but now just on him. What was this suppose to lead to and after the night was out, would she even care if she ever saw him again. Well come on, he wasn’t that bad looking. Not to mention he did smell better then anyone else in the bar and clean cut.
Her eyes softening from her ‘man’ comments, turning away for a moment and not even with a smile she took in his words. He was obviously enjoying himself by her little gestures of what he did. It was his choice to take in how she feasted on her fruits for an old tiger wasn’t about to learn new habits. Shen always did tell her she’d get into trouble because of it.
With her gaze flickering back to his prediction, she could sense that he wanted anything but the perfect family. Made perfect for some people and those who weren’t part of main-stream society. Oh yes she was drawn to him and his idealistic ways of not going on about it. Fu even considered dropping the subject with a small shrug of her shoulders, her cloak rustling ever so softly. Why get the guy mad when she wasn’t having a half of a good time? Her eyes dropping to the dark-washed counter and tracing a niche with her eyes.
The tall, dark, and cold spoke of her being wrong in his case. She was sure that possibly he wasn’t that type. But a girl can ask or in this case, make assumptions to get it said aloud. Speaking made everything so final and sured. Tossing her hair over her shoulders and glancing up at him, noticing Kaiba leaning forward and she couldn’t help but stiffen. Fu just froze like a tiger right before the hunter. Waiting for movement but instead getting hearty words that could send any girl into a frenzy of shivers. But she just remained ridged until he was back in place.
Calm down girl...He didn’t touch you....yet...
Composing herself and turning towards him, the tigress couldn’t help but smirk at his words. Fu propped one arm on the bar, elbow firm and her chin resting in her palm. “So Mister Kaiba...Are you telling me that I’ve got to expect more from you then I’ve outlined?” She purred, eyes half closed in a gaze that spoke of nothing but playfulness. She couldn’t help herself getting caught up in the moment as Alice Cooper spoke.
‘Your skin, So wet Black lace, On sweat I hear you calling and it's needles and pins I want to hurt you just to hear you screaming my name’
