[[DORI M'DEARRR.]]
He was looking for her.
She knew it all too well. She also knew she shouldn't have gone against his orders and gone to this.. Kaibara High School. But for once, she just wanted to be amongst her peers who were... normal. Not cursed. Misteor had told her not to travel there because of the way everyone was. They could lie, cheat, do anything they pleased and nothing would happen to them. Their secret wouldn't slip like hers would.. She had always been different ever since she could remember, and ever since the first time she realized it, he shrouded her under his wing and has always kept her close. But not today.
She slept out while no one was watching and made her break. It took her almost half the time it would've by car since she had taken the bus, and now she was here, inside one of the rooms labeled 'Lounge'. She would tell it was obviously for just 'hanging out', doing their school work, going onto the computer.. Truthfully, she'd never even touched one in her life, it wasn't that she was afraid, but in any other room she'd ever been in besides the medical room, there had never been one.
Slowly slinking her way forwards, Maeko glanced left, then right; almost as if waiting for someone who could possibly know her to pop out and capture her. She didn't want to find out what would happen when once at home. So she would have to enjoy her time while she had it. Sleek gray eyes landed themselves upon the mechanical device, sitting herself in front before staring at the screen, waiting for anything to happen. Then she tapped on a few of the keys, then shimmied the mouse about before glancing to the tower - heading cocking ever-so-slightly to the side. Reaching forwards with a slender finger, she gently pressed the biggest button that was smack dab in the middle, hesitantly pulling back as it began flashing. Soon enough though, the screen turned on and the whole thing started up.
She smiled. Being 'normal' mustn't have been half bad.

"Even you, Hiroshi, could someday amount to something as high as me." She joked, laughing along with her friends as he scrunched his face in her direction. It was nice hanging out before class started. Something she could rarely do since there were things at home that kept her busy. Ai smiled, nudging him as her Kero leaned agisnt her. "What am I? A bed?" She asked him as he looked up innocently, nodding. "You do look pretty comfortable Ai-chan!" Ai stuck her togune out at Camni before pushing him off of her and getting up. "I'm getting pumped so who wants drinks?" Everyone cheered as she nodded, waving her arms in the air for them to settle down as Ai made her way to the machine.
They had better pay me back for this . . .
She joked in her mind, feedsing money in and getting about five RockStars and struggling to carry them. Hiroshi ran over, helping her as someone caught her eye.
It was rare to see her out and about. It was strange as well and not right. Ai couldn't help but stare at the girl as she seemed to be trying to work the computer. A smile curled her red lips as she flipped her blond messy locks. "I'll be right back. I have something to do." She waved off her friends, taking her black large can and taking a drink as she made her way to Maeko. Ai slid into the comfy chair beside and leaned on the table. "What cha' looking up?" She asked casually as if it was normal to be doing such things.

As a voice near her rang out, Maeko instinctively sprang up in a haste as she knocked back her chair, ready to leap into action and run away as fast as she could - which wasn't that fast at all really, and escape the terrible doom waiting for her. But as she snapped her head towards the 'scary doom', her eyes widened mildly at the sight of that certain someone who had dared frighten at least ten years off of her lifespan. It was.. Ai. Ai Sanmi. One of her cousins. Ohhh, fiddle sticks. Ai might've been nice and all, and sure, they had spoken a few times, but she still knew who exactly Maeko was. And that it was always a surprised when Maeko was actually given permission to go out, especially without Misteor. She hoped Ai wouldn't say anything...
Laughing almost awkwardly as she realized she had bumped her chair over, she turned around and set it back up, plopping back down. Awkwardly putting her knees together and resting her balled up hands upon them, she hung her head slightly and sighed. "U-uhm... A-Ai-chan? Wh-what're you doing here?" She asked hesitantly, wondering if Ai had actually been sent here to spy on her.. Though she doubted it. Ai had yet to meet Misteor. And oh how sometimes Maeko envied her for that. But she shook off the thoughts as she peered up at her cousin with pale gray eyes.

Ai's eyes followed her as she sprang to her feet like a cat ready to pounce. She couldn't help but giggle as her friends who were looking over clapped and cheered at her cousin's reaction. Wheeling around in the chair and spinning a few times, she only answered her straight foward seeingas how it was a pretty obvious answer. "Just chilling out with my crew before class. You know that sort of thing." Ai slowed down, grabbing her drink and taking a huge gulp.
She had made Maeko to be the sort of person to do exctly what she was told and a shy kind. But then again Ai didn't know her that well to begin with. Not to mention she had been told that Maeko was Misteor's little toy. That was something that dissapointed Ai a bit. She only hoped though Maeko was now given permission to go to school. That would be a good start to some freedom for her.
"What are you doing here is what I should be asking you though. Right?" The blond asked, leaning over and looking into her eyes. Something that Ai liked was getting answers from people while making eye-contact. It was a sign that you knew that you ment what you said and stood by it. If Misteor though didn't give her permission to be out, well then maybe Ai could help her make it all worth while in some small way.

Feeling herself begin to clam up and heat up at Ai's question, Maeko shifted uneasily and cleared her throat at least three times before inhaling deeply. Should she even answer? She'd have to tell the truth, or POOF. And then she'd REALLY be in trouble. Or she could play the avoiding game.. Try to start up another random conversation with being all 'So the weather's nice today, huh?'
But as she lifted her head, her eyes met with Ai's and she felt herself swallow hard, hands that were in her lap going to lace up together. "U-uhm... I... I sort of... Snuck... Out?" She bit down on her lip, and smiled smally, before tearing their direct gaze, trying to focus on something else, her gaze finally stopping on the computer. Reaching out, she tapped one of the keys on the keyboard, noticing it didn't do anything and she sighed. Man was she behind times or what.
Brushing her hair behind her ears, she pursed her lips once more before meekly meeting Ai's gaze again. "P-please don't tell! I just... Never get to go out that much.. I guess I just couldn't help myself. The moment was perfect."

Taping her long nails on the counter, Ai waited patiently for her answer, glad that Maeko didn't beat around the bush. Even that sometimes can be a bit dangerous for them should they say the wrong thing. Watching her, She giggled lightly, smiling as she leaned back in the blue comfy computer chair.
Letting her ramble just a bit longer, she finally got up, taking another swing fro her can before holding up a finger to tell her she'd be back in a mintue. Running over to her friends, she explained to them that she would be skipping her first class but would be there second period. They all moaned and made a big deal about it, but she was off, waving and then making her way back over to her cousin.
"So Maeok . . . What is that you would like to do on your day off from the leash?" She asked, standing there before her with her arms crossed. "I'll skip first period and such. But come next hour I'm out of here and going to English. But of course you are more then welcome to join in on the class." She explained, leaning to one side.

As Ai got up from her seat, Maeko's eyes positively widened to the size of saucers and she began to open her mouth.
What if she got up, walked out and somehow Misteor was there and Ai told him everything? What if Misteor spotted Maeko and then turned on her? What if he attacked? A dark look on his face; narrowed pale eyes, lips set into a thin line as his face is written with an unstoppable anger.. You could say Maeko's mind goes a bit far sometimes, but that's only because of the things people have put in her mind. Misteor's a 'horrible, wreched man'. Or so she's heard from various members of the family.. Of course, they would never say it to his face, nor hers. She's just overheard. She's not as naive as she appears.
Just as she was about to speak, Ai held up her hand in a motion she'd be back and Maeko inhaled deeply. This is what she got - anxious, nervous feelings. You'd think she'd be enjoying her time out of Misteor's gaze.. Truth was; she wasn't at all. When she was with him, she knew where he was, what he was doing, and all the above. If she knew where he was and if she was with him - that way she could follow orders, not get in trouble.. But with him not there, she felt almost bare. She knew something bad was gonna happen - she just knew it.
Drumming her fingernails on the edge of the keyboard to the computer as Maeko waited for Ai to come back, she sighed and glanced around her before spotting the blonde walking back over. She was extremely surprised at her words that followed once she had reached her and the poor 'doll' slowly tilted her head. 'Off the leash?' Well.. She didn't exactly consider being on a 'leash' before, but none the less, Maeko smiled.
"Uhm..." She started but paused. She'd never really had the choice of what she was going to do, when to do it at, or even where. So this was a whole new experience for her. "Uh... How about.. " Racking her brain for something, anything, her mind first snapped to a delicious chilled treat and slowly stood up, smoothing out her clothes.
"Ice cream?"

Ai was sure this would be a day Maeko would never forget. After all it was rare to see her from Misteor's side let alone outside of the house and far away from him. It was her duty as she saw it to help her family out and this included letting her cousin enjoy her time while out with nothing better to do. So the tall blond was willing to do everything to make this day fun and enjoyable. If they got into trouble then so be it. 'Trouble' was only another word for a good time.
She smiled sweetly, grabbing her hand. Ai had been craving for such a thing for a few days now but had no time. Not to mention her friends were always dragging her to other places to watch movies or shopping. "You want Ice Cream then Ice Cream I shall give to thee." She joked, winking while giggling.
The energetic Libra linked arms with her and then began leading the way out into the lightened freedom that awaited them from school. Ai checked her leather worn wallet, a pink bunny with grotesque stitches and an eye patch decorated the flaps. "Good...I have enough money for two."
Ai smiled, thinking of how Maeko could ever go through living with only Mistero. She had never met the guy, but heard stories about the lone head of the family. It always bothered her that she had never met him yet the rest have on one or two occasion. Was this Mistero really such a big deal?
